PIVOT Studio is a Brighton based architectural practice established in 2018 by Ian Campbell and Jack Idle.
We balance creativity and efficiency throughout our design process and work to deliver elegant solutions at a range of scales and typologies.
HIGHCROFT SUBSTATION
The proposed building replaces a derelict substation to the rear of Highcroft Lodge in Brighton. The proposal was created in response to the need for private amenity space that has been an ongoing struggle in small flats during the pandemic. The proposal repurposed a derelict brownfield site and could be a new typology of micro recreational and office space around the small sites of Brighton and Hove. The design of the new recreation building follows the typology of garages, workshops and outbuildings in the local area. The new proposal will require a new address. The project was submitted for planning in August 2021.Project timeline: Commenced Q2 2021
